Today, I want to write about a rookie I am extremely high on, Micheal Penix. It was a real shocker on draft night when the Atlanta Falcons used their number 8 overall pick to draft Penix after paying Kirk Cousins a whole lot of money during the offseason. Luke McCaffrey, son of NFL great Ed McCaffrey and brother to Christian McCaffrey, has football running through his veins. Moving on from being a quarterback to wide receiver at Rice University, it didn’t take long for him to showcase his athleticism with a 4.46 40-yard dash and a 36-inch vertical jump. In his final college season, McCaffrey hauled in 71 passes for 992 yards and 13 touchdowns, showing that he is coachable, adaptable and hungry to succeed at football.
